The Wire (All seasons currently available through Presto). A tough, tender, violent and hopeful crime drama, without doubt one of the best examples of long-form story-telling ever screened.
Better Call Saul (stan.com.au) Flagship of the new streaming service and set in the years before Breaking Bad, Saul is fast becoming as unmissable as its more famous mothership.
Gogglebox Australia (LifeStyle, Wednesday 9.30pm; Ten, Thursday 9pm). A brutally and hilariously honest glimpse of what the average Australian really thinks about TV.
Hiding (ABC, Thursday, 8.30pm). Packed To The Rafters star James Stewart is really coming into his own as this series, set in the world of witness protection, rolls to what will be an explosive ending.
Gallipoli (Nine, Monday, 9pm). Sadly this didn't gel with viewers and Nine is speeding through the episodes, but this double-episode finale is a fitting tribute to those who fought and fell.
