Puppy rescue in Londonderry

A six-week-old toy poodle has been rescued from a drain by firefighters in Londonderry at 8.30pm last night.
The puppy, Rev, fell into a laundry drain before working it's way underground through a length of the pipe in a home on Kenmare Road.
The owner noticed Rev was missing and heard the puppies cries from the pipe.
It is believed the puppy must have managed to swim through water, up an s-bend in the pipe to get to the spot where he was found.
Emergency services and Fire Rescue were called and dug through the ground to a section of the drain pipe where they grabbed the dog by his tail and pulled him to safety.
The puppy was uninjured and was reunited with the other puppies.
