IF YOU have old photos, documents or clothing you want to preserve for all time, come to a workshop next month to learn how to protect them from water damage.
This half-day, hands-on workshop, presented by experts in the field Preservation Australia, will show you how to preserve your precious family heritage and personal items, and will be of special interest to those managing collections.
You will learn how to plan and prepare for flood or water damage, as well as salvage techniques for photographs, archival documents and textiles.
“The workshop will cover how to plan and prepare for flood or water damage and, should the worst eventuate, how to salvage damaged items,” museum director Diana Robson said.
It’s on Saturday, November 8 from 1pm – 4pm at Windsor. Cost: $40 per person, afternoon tea included. Bookings are essential, on 4560 4655.
