ROLL up roll, up, Australia's longest running circus is in town.
Lennon Bros Circus is at McQuade Park in Windsor until Sunday.
Queues had already formed an hour before their first show last Friday night.
Audiences are treated to a two-hour performance featuring lions Kovu, Kiara and Maisy, ponies, llamas, dogs, miniature donkeys, camels, a monkey, trapeze artists, jugglers, clowns and the double wheel of death.
"You get what you expect at a traditional circus," Georgia Lennon said.
"The variety in our show separates us from the others.
"Not many circuses still have a trapeze artist.
"The clown is funny for everyone from two-year-olds through to grandparents.
"There are people who love the show so much, they come back two or three times."
The Windsor visit won't be without controversy.
Animal Liberation NSW activists protested outside the circus on Saturday in Blacktown and will protest in Windsor this Saturday, calling for a statewide ban on animal circuses and for local councils to review their circus policy.
Animal circuses are banned in Peru, Bolivia, Paraguay, Colombia and Britain.
They have been banned in the ACT for 21 years and several councils across Australia have banned them locally.
"Everyone is entitled to have an opinion," Ms Lennon said.
"We invite everyone to come down and have a look at the animals.
"People always comment on how calm and well looked after the animals are.
"The lions were born and bred in Australia and we have no animals from overseas."
The next stop for the circus is McQuade Park, Windsor, October 24 to November 2.
Lennon Bros Circus is at McQuade Park in Windsor Showground until Sunday.
Shows are Friday at 7pm, 2pm and 6pm on Saturday and 11am on Sunday.
Tickets: from $30 adults, $20 children, under-2 free.
