A large area of grass and bush went up in flames yesterday afternoon, Tuesday, September 30 on Carrington Road in Londonderry.
Fire fighters from RFS and FRNSW responded to the area just after 3pm where they located numerous acres of bush alight.
Crews worked to protect two properties where the fire was approaching and burning in close proximity to.
Dry heat and strong winds pushed the flames causing the fire to spread rather quickly.
There has been no report of property damage at this time and crews remained at the scene blackening out the bush land and ensuring the fire was completely out.
