Londonderry MP Bart Bassett is one of four former Liberal MPs that have been dumped from their prestigious committee positions, after appearing at the Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC) inquiry.
Mr Bassett has been removed as chair of the committee on the Ombudsman, the Police Integrity Commission and the Crime Commission - a position for which he received an extra $18,600 in annual salary.
Mr Bassett has also been removed as a member of the Public Accounts Committee.
Mr Bassett resigned from the Liberal Party and moved to the crossbench after ICAC's inquiry was formally widened to examine allegations that Nathan Tinkler's property development company improperly sought to influence him over a housing development.
ICAC has heard Mr Tinkler's company, Buildev, illegally donated $18,000 to Mr Bassett's campaign before the 2011 election. Mr Bassett has denied any knowledge of the donation or that he was influenced.
Swansea MP Garry Edwards has been dumped from the Legislative Review Committee and the Legislative Assembly Committee on Law and Safety.
Mr Edwards went to the crossbench after ICAC heard claims he had also taken money from property developer Jeff McCloy. He was later accused of lying to ICAC about the amount of money he received. He has denied this is the case.
The Entrance MP Chris Spence has been removed from the Law and Safety committee while Wyong MP Darren Webber has lost his spot on the Joint Standing Committee on Road Safety.
Mr Spence and Mr Webber quit the Liberals to sit on the crossbench after ICAC raided their electorate offices in relation to the inquiry.
Each has been accused of being involved in a scheme to funnel illegal donations, including from property developers, into their campaign coffers.
Replacements have been appointed for former Newcastle MP Tim Owen, who held positions on the ICAC and the Legislative Assembly committee on Transport and Infrastructure.
Mr Owen resigned from Parliament after lying to ICAC about taking $10,000 from a property developer, Jeff McCloy.
The move to dump the MPs came on Wednesday morning after Opposition Leader John Robertson on Tuesday queried why Mr Bassett remained in his official parliamentary positions while on the crossbench.
Mr Robertson accused Premier Mike Baird of only moving on the MPs because Labor raised the issue.
"Mike Baird left Londonderry MP chairing the committee on the Ombudsman, the Police Integrity Commission and the Crime Commission despite him standing aside from the Liberal Party after his evidence to ICAC," he said.
"Mike Baird is simply all talk and no action on cleaning up politics."
