The River to River – Interwoven Landscapes exhibition is open until Saturday, November 16 at Penrith Regional Gallery.
The exhibition represents the relationship between Penrith and Condobolin.
It is an exploration of Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal perspectives on place, identity, aesthetics and cultured memory within the Nepean and Lachlan river environs.
Sponsored by Penrith Regional Gallery and The Lewers Bequest, the project aims to make Aboriginal culture more accessible to other cultures.
In River to River, artists have illuminated the individual characters of the Nepean and Lachlan rivers.
The artists have pushed the boundaries of their creative practice through weaving, wrapping, dyeing, sculpture and drawing.
■ The Gallery will host a twinning (weaving) workshop, Sunday, September 21, 9.30am-3pm. Cost $90 includes all materials.
