A young boy has was rushed to hospital in a critical condition after he was pulled from a pool after experiencing a cardiac arrest at a home in Stanhope Gardens on Saturday.
Ambulance and the CareFlight Medical Trauma Team responded to a call after reports of a three-year-old boy had been found unconscious and not breathing.
Paramedics arrived a short time later to find CPR being performed on the boy by a next-door neighbour.
Paramedics commenced life sustaining treatment on the boy and were later assisted by CareFlight.
The boy was sedated at the scene before he was rushed to Westmead Children’s Hospital.
He was pronounced dead a short time later.
Police are still currently investigating the incident.
