Two people have been taken to hospital after they were involved in a car and truck accident on Bells Line of Road at Mount Tomah this afternoon.
Emergency services including the CareFlight helicopter responded to the call of a head on collision just after 1pm.
When emergency service crews arrived at the scene, two people were trapped in a small vehicle with major defamation to the front.
Paramedics worked to stabilise the individuals, while rescue crews worked to recover them from the vehicle.
CareFlight landed in a nearby paddock.
The individuals were recovered from the car a short time after and transported to Nepean Hospital by road.
The driver of the truck was uninjured.
Bells Line of Road remains closed in both directions while investigations into the accident continue.
