North West Disability Services is celebrating spring with a fair and plant sale this Saturday, September 13.
The spring fair is at the Secret Garden at the University of Western Sydney’s Hawkesbury campus in Richmond.
Co-ordinator Marianne Farrar said it was a great opportunity to select from a huge range of plants at wholesale prices.
‘‘The spring fair is an opportunity to add beautiful colour to your garden with loads of spring flowering plants for sale at great wholesale prices,’’ she said.
‘‘Bring the children along and they can meet the resident pigs, chickens, ducks and farmyard animals.
‘‘There will be a range of entertainment with music, children’s activities, market stalls, tours and family fun.’’
Ms Farrar said volunteers had been working hard to produce a garden setting that was ideal for a family fun day out.
Plants featured in the garden are part of the Horticultural Therapy Program for people with a range of abilities.
There will be a barbecue lunch and home-made cakes and scones.
The Secret Garden is located in the grounds of the UWS campus, entry via Bourke Street, Richmond.
The fair will run from 9am to 4pm.
