Richmond Club’s Bass Lounge is about to be transformed and all the jazz lovers are invited to witness the change.
Next Wednesday night, September 17, Lozz Benson will take the stage with her smoking vocals and drumming skills along with guitarist, Campbell Umbers, the two halves of their outfit ‘That Redhead’.
Presented by the Hawkesbury Jazz Club, the concert will start at 8pm.
Recently completing a Bachelor of Music in jazz performance at Sydney Conservatorium of Music, Ms Benson learnt from some of the finest musicians such as Sandy Evans, Kevin Hunt, Andrew Dickeson, Simon Barker, Tim Firth and Toby Hall.
Majoring on drums, she’s since developed as a vocalist.
That Redhead’s jazz influences are drawn from greats such as Etta James, Blue Skies, Route 66, Elvis and The Doors.
She has worked all over Australia including the Sydney Festival, and supported Paul Kelly on his national tour with Urthboy.
This will be a fast moving and surprising performance.
Tickets are on sale from the club’s reception now.
Admission is $15 and $10.
