Redfield Oldboys dominate Subbies rugby

The Redfield Old Boys Rugby Club have again dominated the NSW Suburban Rugby competition taking out the first grade premiership, third grade premiership and overall club championship in division four. 

The Redfield first grade side, led by Patrick Burfitt, claimed its fourth title in five years while the third grade side collected its second consecutive title. 

The first grade grand final was a bruising affair against cross town rivals,Blacktown. 

In wet conditions, Redfield's defensive efforts were the difference as they out-muscled and out enthused their bigger opponents. 

The Redfield Old Boys are based in Dural. 

Grand Final scores

First grade:

Redfield defeated Blacktown 39 - 13

Second grade:

Sydney Irish defeated Redfield 23 - 16

Third grade:

Redfield defeated Blacktown 24 - 15
