Lace up your runners and get ready to challenge yourself to the limit with the all new Bilpin Bush Run to be held this Saturday, August 23.
The renowned event is back this year despite having been cancelled in 2012 and 2013 due to Council restrictions.
With a new 32.7 kilometre course guaranteed to push participants to the limit, the run will raise funds for Bilpin Rural Fire Brigade for mobile phones for vehicles, computers, GPS equipment, station improvements and ongoing administration expenses.
The event brings hundreds of runners across NSW to compete and this year is bound to be bigger than ever with the new route crossing through Bilpin, around Mount Tootie and into Wollemi National Park.
The run started 19 years ago with 90 runners and has eventually grown in numbers to see more than 300 eager participants.
It will start at 9am at Bilpin District Hall on Bells Line of Road and winners will receive a trophy with their names engraved on it donated by Bendigo Bank.
Bilpin Public School will be selling steak and sausage sandwiches, sweets and refreshments throughout the day.
