Break-and-enters increase in Hills command

Eleven break-and-enters occurred in The Hills police command over Friday and the weekend.

Three occurred in Carlingford, two each in Rouse Hill and Baulkham Hills, and one each in North Rocks, Dural, Bella Vista and West Pennant Hills.

In Baulkham Hills, three Persian rugs valued at $10,000 and cash and jewellery were taken from a home in Arthur Street, between 2pm and 7pm, Friday.

In Bella Vista, $5000 in cash and jewellery were stolen from a home in Patrine Place between 6pm and 10.30pm, Friday.

Other robberies included the theft of copper wire from from an industrial site in North Rocks Road, North Rocks between 2.30pm, Saturday and 6.30am, Monday; and the stealing of $150 in cash from a home in Coachwood Close, Rouse Hill at 8pm, Friday.

Police said these incidents bring to 20, the total number of break-and-enters in The Hills command since August 1.
