One of the world’s largest aircraft, an Airbus A380, was forced to make an emergency landing in Perth on Thursday night after a passenger became ill during a flight from Melbourne to Dubai.
The Qantas A380 landed at Perth Airport at 9.25pm.
A Qantas spokeswoman said the aircraft remained grounded until 11pm then continued on its journey to Dubai.
“It [diversions to Perth] doesn’t happen very often but it does happen,” she said.
