Stanhope Gardens workshop for small businesses

More than 40 western Sydney home-based businesses received free training on marketing their business during a recent workshop at Stanhope Gardens.

The joint initiative between Blacktown Council and Greater Western Sydney Business Enterprise Centre is part of a series of free events aimed at boosting and supporting local businesses.

Enterprise centre chief executive David Baumgarten said the recent workshop, run by internet marketing guru Mike Kennedy, was well-received by the participants.

"The workshops we are running are using the experience and services of some of Australia's leading small business owners who are willing to share their experience with others," Mr Baumgarten said.

"The feedback from those who attended indicates that they came away feeling inspired and motivated, and no one could believe it was free."

The next free event to be held at the Dennis Johnson Library will be a master class by Vanessa Van Wyk on using innovative and effective strategies to build your business brand and generate sales.

The next workshop will be held on July 14, 9.30am to noon.

There is no charge but participants must book and must have an ABN.
