Girl approached in Mount Druitt

Police are appealing for information after a girl was approached in Mount Druitt last week.

Police said an 11-year-old girl was walking home from school along Kurrajong Road at about 3.20pm on Friday, June 20 when a man in a black car called out to her.

The driver urged the girl to get into his vehicle before she ran to meet her grandfather, who called police.

Detectives commenced an investigation and have released a description of a man they believe may be able to assist with inquiries.

The man is described as being of Caucasian appearance, approximately 30 years old, with brown hair.

He was last seen wearing a black shirt.

The car has been described as being a black Jeep.

Police are urging anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
