Cyclist killed in collision at Mount Druitt

A cyclist died in hospital after he collided with a bus in Mount Druitt on Thursday.

Just before 5pm, the 34-year-old cyclist was riding on Kurrajong Road when he crashed into the bus, also travelling on the road, near Carlisle Avenue.

Paramedics rushed to scene and took the man to Westmead Hospital, but he later died.

The bus driver, who was not injured, was interviewed by police.

No one else was hurt in the accident.

The Crash Investigation Unit is inquiring into the incident and police are preparing a report for the Coroner.
