This week's student leaders are Hamilton Ayson and Savannah Abbott, from Terra Sancta College. The school's motto is "The way passes through this land."

1. What is unique about your school?

Hamilton Ayson, C: I believe that the community within Terra Sancta is very special, as we all share a special bond with not only each other but with the teachers as well.

Savannah Abbott, C: On a physical difference, our school is split into junior (years 7, 8, 9 and 10) and a senior (years 11 and 12) campus.

It's very beneficial for senior students have the same amount of resources and more available to us for preliminary and HSC courses.

We also have a strong connection to the original owners of the land, the Dharrug people, that we honour when able.

It's really just a safe environmental with many avenues to be individual and creative; something that's unique in itself.

2. What do you want to do when you leave school?

Hamilton Ayson, C: When I leave school I was hoping to become a dental hygienist, however I am also hopeful to get into aviation and become a pilot. Either of these choices would be amazing.

Savannah Abbott, C: I'm not sure yet, as there are many avenues that I enjoy and would like to pursue.

If I had to give a definitive answer right now, then I'd have to stay filming and critical reviews of film, music, theatre or politics.

3. Why do you think being a school leader is important?

Hamilton Ayson, C: I believe it is important as every school needs a role model that students can relate to.

They also need a person/s to represent the school.

Savannah Abbott, C: Being a school leader is important because it allows myself to put forward ideas that would benefit the school from the priority group affected by changes.

It's also a great way to establish firm values in myself, such as responsibility, versatility and leadership.

4. If you were the principle, what would you introduce?

Hamilton Ayson, C: I would introduce better fundraising events and more school events.

Savannah Abbott, C: I'm going to have to say nap time, at some point between recess and lunch. School tires you out.
