Hawkesbury residents are urged to get down to Governor Phillip Park this Saturday for the launch of the Windsor River-side Markets.
The markets will operate from 9am until 2pm and are expected to bring a range of unique and boutique stalls to the banks of the Hawkesbury River.
The brains behind the markets are former Hawkesbury residents Angela Brown and Sarah Gradwell, who have been running similar events with great success on the Central Coast.
Ms Brown said the markets would feature unique and original stalls including fashion, homewares, art and crafts, photography, fresh produce and more.
“We have family who live in the area, actually just up the road from Governor Phillip Park, and on a visit last October it was suggested that we bring our style of market down to the riverside,” Ms Brown said.
“We hope to have all kinds of market stalls, with a high focus on originality, handmade and uniqueness.”
Ms Brown said she had been very pleased with the positive feedback from the community in the lead-up to the launch his Saturday, and said the event would help raise money for Hawkesbury Helping Hands.
Anyone who is interested in having a stall at the upcoming market is urged to contact Sarah and Angela on email at windsorriversidemarkets@gmail.com.
