A family fun day to raise money to send the family of Bridget Wright to Disneyland will take place at Pitt Town and Districts Sports Club this Sunday, June 8.
Bridget passed away after she was struck by a falling tree limb while having lunch at Pitt Town Public School earlier this year.
The ‘Feel the Magic’ family fun day on Sunday aims to raise enough money to send her family, James, Alaina and Abigail Wright, to Disneyland in the US.
Founder of ‘Feel the Magic’ and Pitt Town resident, James Thomas, said they had received support from all angles since announcing the Wrights as the recipients of fundraising for a family Disneyland trip, including Channel Nine.
He urged everyone to come along on Sunday to show their support for the Wrights, and help make the Disneyland goal a reality.
“We are honoured to be supporting this family through this terrible time of grief,” Mr Thomas said.
“Thank you in advance to all who attend the day and to those who contribute in some way. We hope this gift will brighten their lives just a little in this very dark time.”
It starts at 10am and will include rides, entertainment, silent auctions and more. Entry is $10 for adults and $5 for children.
■ If you can’t come but would like to contribute: make a fully tax deductible donation at www.feelthemagic.org.au or donate a prize of any value for the chocolate wheel or silent auction at www.feelthemagic.org.au.
