Workers' tough win

Blacktown Workers took on Minchinbury at home on Saturday hoping to stay in touch with St Marys and Windsor in the league's under 15s division 1 competition.

They took on Minchinbury who had their own motivation of trying to get in touch with the top four.

But the home side showed why they're potential premiership contenders with a tough eight-point win, 24-16.

The win keeps them within three points of top-of-the-table St Marys which thrashed the winless St Clair team 52-0.

Windsor only just held on to second spot with a tight 16-14 win against Colyton Mt Druitt.

Blacktown takes on Brothers next weekend at Hickeys Lane in a match to decide which team cements third spot on the ladder.
