GALLERY: Castle Hill charity event is fitness gold

Fitness First Castle Hill resembled the music video to Olivia Newton-John’s Let’s Get Physical on Saturday.

That’s because it was Retro Day and staff and members alike had dressed up in 70s, 80s and 90s fitness gear for a day of themed classes, paying homage to fitness through the ages.

There was 70s/80s cycle class, 80s step, 90s body pump and retro pilates.

‘‘Mullet wigs, leotards, head bands and leg warmers were out in full force and the team put on refreshments and gave out prizes for the best dressed,’’ a club spokeswoman said.

She assured us the silliness was all in the name of a good cause though.

She said all money raised on the day and until Sunday goes to Make-A-Wish Foundation Australia, who grant wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions.

‘‘Members and their guests are being encouraged to come in and donate,’’ the club’s spokeswoman said.

‘‘There will be tins available at reception.’’

Fitness First Castle Hill is at Level 4/Castle Towers, Castle Hill.
