THE dedicated and professional staff at St Clare's Catholic High School provide a safe, caring and challenging learning environment.

Principal Robert Muscat said the school had superb learning support structures.

"We have teachers assist students who require additional support and we have established a challenge program for those students who need further extension," he said.

"Our aim is to provide a personalised learning system that will cater for any individual needs." The system used at St Clare's Catholic High School is called the Student Advocacy Model," Mr Muscat said.

"The model allows for small groups of students to have a learning adviser [teacher] who facilitates a program of work with a focus on metacognitive and resilience topics.

"Teachers and students are given time each week to explore areas of learning that will enhance cognitive abilities and character building to ensure all students become lifelong learners."

St Clare's also encourages the use of technology within the model.

"Our Bring Your Own Technology program supports this system," Mr Muscat said.

"It permits students to set up their devices to access their student profile accounts on Google [applications] anywhere and any time, making learning ubiquitous."
