Plea for help

THE mother of Sandra Cawthorne has appealed to the public for help to find her daughter's killer.

Patricia Roberts said her family was desperate to find closure over her daughter's death.

Sandra Cawthorne was 29 and pregnant when she was shot dead in an industrial area of Arndell Park on Easter Monday, April 12, 2004.

Her body was found in Murtha Street. She had been shot many times, with wounds to her head and torso.

"It's been 10 long years since Sandy was killed," Mrs Roberts told a media briefing . Her two sons, now aged 11 and 14, still wonder who killed their mum."

Detective Inspector Con Galea has managed the investigation.

"We have exhausted all of our inquiries on this case, yet we are certain there are people who know the truth," Inspector Galea said.

Detectives have released an image of a truck seized from a property in Riverstone on Tuesday, April 13, 2004, the day after Ms Cawthorne's murder. The truck was seen in the Arndell Park area shortly before and shortly after Ms Cawthorne's death.
