Show patrons urged to use public transport

The Sydney Royal Easter Show starts today, bringing some  well-loved traditional events — as well as something new.

Over 13 days, from April 10 to 23, there will be live entertainment, woodchop competitions, district exhibitions, farmyard nursery, dinosaur adventures, the food farm, rides and much more to enjoy.

During the Show, there will be road closures  and as a result heavy traffic is expected in and around Sydney Olympic Park.

ShowLink ticket holders are being urged to leave the car at home and take public transport, which is included in the cost of all admission tickets.

Increased public transport services will operate throughout the Show.

During the Easter long weekend, car parks at Sydney Olympic Park are expected to reach capacity and those planning to drive should pre-book parking via the Sydney Olympic Park website for a flat rate of $25.
