The ninth Collectors’ Plant Fair will be held this weekend, April 12 -13, at Hawkesbury Race Club, Clarendon.
More than 50 specialist growers will be selling distinctive, often rare and unusual plants suitable for all gardens.
There will be a large range of garden-related products and representatives from The Garden Clinic, Garden Clubs of Australia and Open Gardens Australia, with the Australian Institute of Horticulture and Iris Society NSW being the fair’s major sponsor.
An inspiring speaker, Mal Condon from Hydrangea Farm Nursery in America, will be there on the day to speak to those interested about why there’s always room for one more hydrangea in your garden.
Dr Holly Kerr Forsyth, gardening columnist for The Weekend Australian, will speak about modern plant hunters – those who hunt with a camera.
The stalls will be open from 8am to 4pm on Saturday and 9am to 4pm on Sunday.
Entry per person including free parking is $12 on Saturday or $10 if pre-paid, $10 on Sunday or $8 if prepaid and a weekend ticket is $12 prepaid only.
To prepay and book for speakers, go to www.collectorsplantfair.com or phone 4567 2026.
