MP Bart Bassett will be out of the job come the state government election next year, after losing Liberal Party pre-selection to current Castle Hill MP Dominic Perrottet.
Both vied for the seat of Hawkesbury.
Mr Bassett, the current MP for Londonderry, lost to Mr Perrottet last night, Tuesday, April 4 - 54 to 62.
