Cricket skills program

Nothing says "cricket season" quite like early mornings, sunshine and freshly cut grass. It was these variables that greeted a group of 16 eager local boys and girls throughout their introduction to cricket. The six-week program, held Saturday mornings at Penrith's Howell Oval, is used as an interactive program to develop the skills of the participants. As an entry-level program, it encourages children new to sport to use it as a platform to develop their skills before moving on to other forms of cricket. With the help of the Penrith Cricket Club, the program was a great success, with many smiles and much fun had by the participants and program co-ordinators.

Chance for young stars

With a wealth of talent in the local area, including state and national players Josh Lalor and Pat Cummins, the in2CRICKET program is an opportunity for budding stars to develop and hone their skills before going to longer formats. Inquiries: Jonathan Lees on 0418 749 185.
