Two men hit by cars in The Hills on Saturday

Two men were hit by cars in unrelated incidents in The Hills on Saturday.

In Castle Hill, two independent witnesses say they saw a 34-year-old man from Castle Hill run out in front of a blue Holden Jackaroo about 1.15am Saturday.

A 21-year-old woman from Crows Nest was driving at about 15km/h through a green light on the Terminus and Castle Street intersection at Castle Hill when the pedestrian collided with the front of her vehicle.

She stopped to check if he was okay but, as no particulars were exchanged, she will be fined.

The pedestrian was taken to Westmead Hospital with minor injuries.

About 8am same day, a 61-year-old male Indian national was also taken to Westmead Hospital but with a suspected broken rib after being struck by a car on Torrs Street, Baulkham Hills.

The woman driver, 33, from Baulkham Hills, said she was squinting from the sun and did not see the man walk across the road from his home when her white Audi station wagon hit him.

Police are awaiting the results of a blood sample from the woman before taking action.
