The circus is in town

See wire walkers, jugglers, clowns, aerialists and animals when Circus Ringbarkus — a children's mini circus — is at Castle Hill Showground until Sunday, March 16.

The 90-minute show will feature plenty of dogs, dancing chickens and skilled performers. Tickets: Adults $22, children $17.

See a movie at the oval

See Monsters University at the Cherrybrook Movie Under the Stars on Saturday, March 22, at John Purchase Oval, Cherrybrook.

YouTube sensation and hurdler Michelle Jenneke is event ambassador and she will be joined by Cherrybrook school bands and dance groups on stage.

Entertainment and activities start at 5pm, with the movie screening at 7.30pm.

Entry: By gold coin donation.

Saucy day at bakery

Learn how to create the perfect pasta sauce at the Glenorie Bakery's Saucy Sauce Day this Saturday.

The event is in memory of Nonna Nancy Pirina, owner Rob Pirina's grandmother who taught him the secrets of traditional Italian sauce making.

Opera singer Giselle will perform her own songs and some Elvis Presley and Diana Ross classics, 8.30am to 1pm.
