P-platers charged with street racing in Bella Vista

Two men were charged and had their registration plates confiscated after allegedly being caught street racing in Bella Vista on Tuesday.

Highway patrol officers were driving along Norwest Boulevard about 10.25pm when they allegedly detected a silver Honda Accord and a blue Volkswagen Golf R32 street racing.

Police will allege the cars were travelling west at up to 91km/h in a 70km/h zone.

Both drivers hold provisional P2 licences.

The men, aged 19 and 21, were issued court attendance notices for take part in street race and drive in a manner dangerous to the public.

They will appear in Parramatta Local Court on April 14.

The men were also issued with licence suspension notices, had their car number plates confiscated and vehicle registration suspended.
