Bulls win pre-season game

The Hills Bulls have tuned up for the Sydney Shield season with a thumping 52-16 thrashing of Belrose in the Bulls' first rugby league trial of the season. It was 16-12 at half-time. Belrose equalised in the second half before the Bulls ran away with it. It was an encouraging start as new players were blended with old. They'll play another knockout game this weekend.

High jump silver

Bradon Starc has just missed gold at the Perth Track Classic. Former Hills junior Starc and Chris Dodd were level after each jumping 2.23 metres, before Dodd got the gold on a countback.

Pittman sets Games Mark

Jana Pittman has added another milestone to her list of achievements at the Winter Olympics in Sochi.

The athlete Bella Vista calls its own had already created history by becoming the first Australian woman to compete at both the Summer and Winter Games. Pittman and pilot Astrid Radjenovic created further history by equalling Australia's best result in the women's bobsleigh, finishing 14th.

Bushrangers' clubhouse

Kellyville Bushrangers Rugby League Club has a clubhouse. "A big thank you to Jono Black for his years of campaigning The Hills Council for better facilities for our club," the club posted on its Facebook page on Tuesday.
