Runners hit with colour

Sydney Motorsport Park will explode into colour on February 23 for Australia's first Color Me Rad event, encouraging non-runners to get moving.

Runners start in a white T-shirt that morphs into a rainbow artwork as they are hit with colour bombs as they make their way through the five-kilometre course.

Almost one million Americans have taken part in the event since 2012.

Part of the proceeds will go to Australian Cancer Research Foundation.

Registrations open at 7.30am for a 9am start. Cost is $55 (discounts for groups). Details:
