Rider hit by ute

A male rider of a motor scooter was hit by a white ute at the corner of Kurrajong and Belmore avenues, Whalan, at about 6pm on December 23.

The man was taken to Westmead Hospital where he was kept overnight.

Sexual assault case

Police have charged a man over the alleged sexual assault of a woman at Woodcroft Lakes on Thursday.

Police said that about 8.30pm, a 20-year-old woman was jogging near Waterside Grove in Woodcroft Lakes when she was approached by a man who allegedly assaulted her before running towards Antique Crescent.

The woman called police and was taken to Westmead Hospital.

Blacktown police searched the area with the dog squad before a 19-year-old man was arrested at a home in Woodcroft about midnight.

He was charged with two counts of sexual assault and was refused bail.

Guards threatened

Police are looking for a man who allegedly threatened security guards at shops in Parklea.

Police were called to a marketplace on Sunnyholt Road about 2.20pm on January 3 following reports of a man armed with a firearm threatening security guards. No shots were fired and no injuries were reported.

The man fled in a purple or blue-coloured Proton Satria hatchback with black bumper bars. He is described as Caucasian, in his mid-20s, of solid build and wearing a hat, an orange fluorescent top and blue shorts.
