WINDSOR detectives have charged a West City Tigers football player for his alleged involvement in a brawl between spectators and rugby league teams at Turnbull Oval at North Richmond in August.
The 17-year-old was charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm and affray on Thursday, October 31 at Windsor Police Station.
Police allege the teen from Hebersham used his right foot to stomp on a player’s head during the brawl and intimidated a female who was recording the incident.
The arrest comes almost three months after the post semi-final fight between the West City Tigers and Penrith Waratahs under 19 rugby league teams on Sunday, August 11.
The teen was granted conditional bail and is expected to front Children's Court on November 20.
Hawkesbury detective, Sergeant Trent Atkins told the Gazette more people are expected to be charged over the coming weeks.
