A SPIKE in the number of dogs going missing has sparked fears a dog-fighting ring may be operating nearby.
Several specific breeds of dogs including Staffordshire Bull Terriers have disappeared from homes across the Hawkesbury, particularly in Londonderry, and some residents are worried their pets are being taken and used for illegal dog fights.
