Beating the grass

IT’S A million dollar job tackling Hawkesbury’s jungle of grass — a job you need to keep on top of especially following a drenching of rain and a burst of humid, hot weather.

To keep our green spaces under control, two additional casual staff have been employed for between four to seven weeks by Council to help mow down the rapidly growing grass, control weed growth, brush cut, slash asset-protection zones and slash alongside road reserves to improve line of sight.
