Festival to unite community

A FAMILY festival aimed at bringing the community together will be held at Prospect Park in Blacktown on Saturday, March 23.

Senior pastor Chris Bonsu of the Living Word Church International said the Life Festival would be held in the park at Aldgate Street from 8am to 2.30pm.

‘‘The aim of this one-day fun time is to bring people of all racial backgrounds together through the participation of sporting events,’’ he said.

‘‘On the day, there will  be ball games, board games, free sausage sizzle and drinks, jumping castle for the children, face painting, and many more.’’

Pastor Bonsu said the festival was open to everyone, including  sponsors and service providers.

It will also hold soccer matches between men and boys and women versus girls.

Living Word Church is at 2 Stoddart Street, Prospect, Blacktown.

Pastor Bonsu has  directed many businesses and served in several churches and fellowships for more than 27 years.

They include three years as an overseer of the Mamprobi Baptist Church in Ghana, six years as president of the African Christian Fellowship in Sydney and more than six years of leading the Living Word Church International in Australia and Ghana as a senior pastor.
