● BREED is an independent non-profit organisation, working within the youth sector to improve their year 12 attainment and their transition to post school education, training and employment; and the small and developing business sector assisting businesses to take that next step by providing low-cost solutions to operate within.

● It was started by the community with initial funding from the then Federal Department of Employment, Education and Training (DEET), incorporated in 1994 with the aim of stimulating economic and employment growth within the Blacktown local government area.
