Bowling for Bryson

OFFICERS from Hawkesbury Local Area Command (LAC) will be ditching their shoes when they take to the greens for a game of barefoot bowls in April to raise money for the family of Bryson Anderson.

And they want you to do it too.

The team in blue will be hosting a Family Fun and Barefoot Bowls Day on Sunday, April 14, at the Pitt Town District Sports Club.

There will be stalls, a petting zoo, face painting, jumping castle, chocolate wheel, rides and live bands.

All funds raised on the day will go directly to the Bryson Anderson Memorial Fund.

“There will be plenty of activities for the whole family to get involved in,” Hawkesbury LAC Crime Manager Inspector Paul McHugh said.

“Money raised will support Detective Inspector Anderson’s wife and three children. Your support would be appreciated,” he said.

Local businesses wishing to show their support by offering prize donations, meat for the barbecue or assistance on the day can contact Windsor Police Station on 4587 4099.

Detective Inspector Bryson Anderson was killed while responding to a neighbourhood dispute in Oakville in December last year.
