Bryson case adjourned

The mother and son charged with murdering Detective Inspector Bryson Anderson were excused from appearing at court this morning (Friday, February 1).

Fiona Barbieri, 45 and her son, Mitchell Barbieri, 19 were not required to show their faces when their cases were heard briefly at Penrith Court House at 9.30am.

The pair who have spent more than two months behind bars have been charged with the stabbing murder of Det. Insp. Anderson, 45, during an alleged neighbourhood dispute on Thursday December 6 in Oakville. 

The matter has been adjourned until April 5. 

The Barbieri’s did not apply for bail, although it was formally refused.

Det. Insp. Anderson's brother Warwick and father Rex were present.
