THE Windsor Wolves have cemented top spot on the Bundaberg Red Cup ladder with a dominant 56-28 victory over the Cabramatta Two Blues at the Windsor Sporting Complex on Saturday night.
In a destructive performance which highlighted their attacking potency, the Wolves ran in ten tries to completely blow Cabramatta off the park and walk away with a 28-point win.
Young fullback Vince Morunga was a standout, scoring two tries in a season-best performance.
Trevor Bolt and Albert Peters also bagged doubles, while Ben Stewart, Shennelle Haumono, Chad Grant, and Wiremu Weepu all found their way onto the score sheet.
Hooker Ryan Russell slotted seven of his ten conversion attempts.
The platform for the win was once again laid by the Wolves pack, with Weepu, Russell and Ryan Tramonte playing in the unfamiliar prop role all named amongst Windsor's best.
The Wolves will face an important test this Sunday when they travel to the Crest Stadium to take on the Bankstown City Bulls, who sit one point adrift on the ladder, in what shapes as a mouth-watering clash between two of the competition heavyweights.
The match kicks off this Sunday, June 20, at 3pm.
Meanwhile the Windsor NSW Cup side kept in touch with the competition front runners with a come-from-behind victory against the Shellharbour Dragons on Saturday afternoon.
Spurred on by the home crowd, the Wolves overcame a six point half-time deficit to post back to back victories, running out eventual 30-22 winners.
The Wolves sit in fifth place, four points adrift of the Balmain Ryde Eastwood Tigers.
This week they make the toughest road trip in the NSW Cup, travelling to Mount Smart 2 to take on the Auckland Vulcans on Saturday afternoon at 1pm.
