Richmond Public School pupil Isaac Harrison and Wilberforce Public School’s Cameron Power will play in the tournament after being among six members of the Sydney West team that won the PSSA State Championships at Orange to earn selection in the NSW team.

Colo High School’s Matthew Guillaumier, impressed selectors so much in his role as an umpire at the State titles that he was selected as the only NSW official at the nationals.

Sydney West finished the State titles unbeaten with six wins and two draws, roll-

ing Sydney North (5-2-1) 15-7 in the final match to claim the title.

They beat Riverina 7-4, Hunter 8-6 and North Coast 10-3 and started slowly on day two with draws to Syd-

ney South West (4-4) and Hunter (6-6), followed by a 10-0 belting of Sydney East.

Needing to win their last two matches for the title, Sydney West flogged Mackillop 18-9 before outclassing Sydney North.

Both Power and Harrison are multi-talented sportspeople, with Power also progressing deep into the representative baseball program, while Harrison is a budding dummy half at rugby league, being selected in the Penrith Developmental Squad both this year and next since crossing from Hawk-esbury City to Emu Plains to play in division one.

He will be at Hills Sports High next year after being offered a position in their talented sport program for rugby league.
