SUPERCLUB Kurrajong-Bilpin once again dominated the Regional Little Athletics Championships at Blacktown Olympic Centre on February 20-21, with a staggering 51 athletes qualifying for the State Championships at Homebush later this month.
Club superstars David Snowdon, Tavleen Singh and Sara Klein each won three gold medals as 16 KBLAC competitors qualified in at least three separate events, with Klein also being part of the winning senior girls relay team.
KBLAC finished with an astonishing medal haul of 29 gold, 36 silver and 33 bronze.
For the first time the club had three relay teams also qualify, with both the junior and senior girls teams winning gold and the senior boys silver in an exciting finish.
Three athletes with a disability also got through to the State titles.
The club's under 8 athletes also showed the future to be in good hands at their first regional titles, with both Caleb Fairweather and Sophie Balmforth winning four individual medals each.
They are too young to progress to State but will be a force to be reckoned with next year.
