Men wanted for armed robbery

23 Jun, 2009 05:11 PM
Detectives from Hawkesbury Local Area Command are appealing for public assistance in relation to several armed robberies in the Windsor area since late last year. The most recent incident occurred about 9.45pm on Monday, April 13, in which two men gained entry to the foyer area of Panthers North Richmond on Beaumont Avenue at North Richmond. The men, one armed with a firearm and both wearing balaclavas, threatened staff at gunpoint demanding money. A sum of cash was stolen before the men fled the scene.

The second incident occurred about 1am on Friday, October 3, 2008, in which two men gained entry into the Clarendon Tavern on Richmond Road at Clarendon.

The men approached the manager inside before stealing a sum of money. The men were armed with an iron bar and a sledge-hammer and both were wearing balaclavas at the time.

The third incident occurred about 4am on Saturday, March 21, in which a man gained entry into the Windsor Leagues Club on Rifle Range Road at South Windsor.

The man, armed with a firearm, threatened staff at gun-point demanding money before fleeing the scene with a sum of cash. He was wearing a balaclava at the time.

During each of the above-mentioned incidents, one of the men was wearing a distinctive pair of black and grey gloves featuring yellow symbols. Police believe this man has been involved in all three incidents.

Police are appealing for anyone with information about any of the above incidents to contact Windsor Police Station 4560 6999 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
