ONLY weeks after welcoming Big Brother winner Terri back home, the Hawkesbury has yet another face in the national television spotlight.
Freemans Reach resident Brooke Greentree has made it into the final 14 contestants on the new reality TV show ‘Make Me A Supermodel’ (MMAS).
Ms Greentree captured the attention of Supermodel judges Jennifer Hawkins, Marie Claire editor Jackie Frank, former male model Martin Welsh and American supermodel Tyson Beckford instantly, securing her finals place in the closing minutes of the series’ second episode, which aired on Channel 7 last Thursday night.
Ms Greentree will enter the MMAS house in mid-August to live with the other finalists until she is either evicted or crowned the winner of the program.
Speaking with The Gazette this week, Ms Greentree said she was excited about making it into the finals, and looking forward to what lay ahead.
“It’s the best opportunity any aspiring model could get,” she said. “I’d love to win, but most of all I want to go to sleep each night feeling good about the next day and what I’m doing.
“I want the process to make me feel really comfortable with modelling, and I’m willing to let it lead me where I’m meant to go.”
Ms Greentree said she looks up to fellow competitor Cassandra, describing her as “amazing”, and thinks she may face some tough competition from the guys.
She admits she’ll miss her family and her music, especially experimenting on her guitar, while she’s in the house.
“I’m always recording my own stuff – I’d love to be the lead guitarist in a band,” she said.
In her official MMAS bio, Ms Greentree said she wanted people to see how dramatically her look can change, and how she can be shaped to suit any product or mood.
“I think the judges were worried that I wouldn’t like the clothes that I’d be put in, but I think they were very surprised at how adaptable I was,” she said.
Until she enters the house, Ms Greentree will continue in her role as manager at Windsor Riverview’s Gloria Jeans Coffees, owned by her mother Tracey.
Mrs Greentree said she’s not shocked her daughter is in the final 14. “I’ve always thought she was stunning, I’m just so proud of her,” she said.
“I think she’ll surprise everyone and make it into the final four contestants.”
